Fire Pit Designs |
Fire pit Designs are not just, what they were years ago. There was no design involved, they just consisted of a shallow pit in the ground where debris and wood where piled up to burn. They have certainly come a long way in use and design.
They are now either permanent or portable. If you have a designated area just for your fire pit then they can be permanent. If on the other hand you have not finished your landscaping, yet you may want to use one of the portable types. These are also excellent for home renters that can simply just take it with them when they move.
These are no longer restricted to just burning wood or used for bonfires. They are designed in such a way now they can be run by a variety of fuel sources such as propane for example. A unique design and one that fast became a popular design was the chimenea. This is as a little fat belly stove. It sits on three sturdy feet above the ground. They vary somewhat in styles and finishes but all pretty well serve the same purpose.
They have a history, which services as a traditional factor as well. Originally, they were made out of ceramic and their primary purpose was cooking food outdoors and providing heat for chilly nights or autumn days when one still had the desire to be out of doors.
Today these wonderful items find a wonderful home amongst the fire pit designs. They are versatile, functional, and come in various sizes. These are probably a great solution from a cost factor point of view when it is compared to the built in type fire pit designs.
Again though if you know your fire pit is stationery then you may opt for one of the more permanent designs. These can be made from various materials such as rocks, stones bricks, or cast iron. These built in fire pits can be as rustic or elite as your desire. If you want to go elite then they very well become the focal point of the landscape. You could almost build an outdoor room around it. A few built in seats and small side tables and there you have the perfect location for relaxing or socializing.
There are other shapes and models available on the market that is in essence portable, but if you chose to do so, you could make it stationery in the area of your choice. No backyard décor is complete without a fire pit of some sort. It is just so enticing to sit in front of a fire under the open sky during the cool evening breezes, or perhaps the first chills that run through as we enter autumn.
For individuals that must be budget minded then it should be remembered that there are all types of fire pit designs to choose from in various price ranges. It really is not necessary for anyone to have to go without one. It is just a matter of finding one that fits into the budget and the décor of the outdoor area where it is to be used.
