Electric fireplaces offer many great benefits. To begin with, many people that would just love to have some type of fireplace are just not able to do so. In the past, it was thought that electric fireplaces are expensive to run. This is not normally the case. Naturally, the area you live in dictates the cost of electricity but on the normal, they do not take anymore than a few cents to run, and for sure below a $1. Some of the more elite models come with a thermostat so this gives you even better control over the heat aspects of it.
Another little known fact is also that the heat supplied by these fireplaces is 100% efficient compared to other fireplaces, which is around 80%. It certainly is fun when people visit your home and are not able to detect that you don’t have a real fireplace. Many of them are so realistic they fool the majority of people observing them.
Once you have decided that an electric fireplace is exactly what you want, then first determine where you are going to put it, and then take your time when picking one out.
